A fundraising event for DueNORTH Canada with a Kentucky Derby theme raised nearly $2,793 on Saturday afternoon.
“It was great success, everyone seemed to have a great time and got into the spirit with their Derby fashion,” says organizer Cheryl Donnelly.
DueNORTH is a non-partisan, not-for-profit organization which aims to nurture possibilities amongst children and youth in Canada’s Far North by providing and promoting access to nutritious, affordable and culturally-appropriate food.
